Warranty and Return Policy

Returning Items under Warranty.

No returns or exchanges covered under warranty will be accepted without an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) number and original sales receipt. We require RMA numbers because it is the only way DIY Surveillance Pro covers and documents Warranty Returns.  Any merchandise returned without an RMA number will not be accepted and it will be refused for shipment. If you have a warranty issue and need to return an item please call DIY Surveillance Pro and request an RMA number so you mail return your item. At that time we will also provide you with detailed instructions on where to send the item back to and what other steps to follow. DIY Surveillance Pro can be reached at 800-930-6875 Monday thru Friday 8am to 5 pm Est. In order to expedite your return please make sure to have your sales receipt available when you call.  Note: Sales receipts are typically emailed to the email address registered with DIY Surveillance Pro at the time of your purchase.

 

Exchange and Returns:

There is a 30 days replacement warranty on our Cameras, DVR/NVR’s, Monitors, POE Switches, Hard Drives and Counter Surveillance Items. NOTE: Tools, Connectors/Cabling, Power Supplies, Signs/Stickers are not covered or returnable.  If any of our Cameras, DVR/NVRs and Counter Surveillance Items stop working within 30 days DIY SURVEILLANCE PRO will replace the item providing the units were not dropped, abused, altered, reconfigured or tampered with or incorrect power adapters were used. All Software is not covered under the warranty. Any Misuse of the product or not following the included manufacturer directions will void the warranty. DIY Surveillance Pros technical staff, based on the inspection of the returned product, will determine whether your warranty claim is valid.

 

Manufacturer Warranty:

In addition to the standard 30 Day Warranty offered for our Cameras, DVR/NVRS,  Monitors, POE Switches, Hard Drives and Counter Surveillance Items we do honor the manufacturers warranty as well. All warranty periods per product are different. Please keep all documentation as it relates to your product. If a part purchased is covered under the manufacturer warranty please contact DIY Surveillance Pro at 800-930-6875 to discuss the next appropriate steps for RMA and Return Instructions.

Shipping Fees:

The Customer will be responsible for the return shipping costs of the Returned Items.

 

Restocking Fees:

All returned items will be inspected by DIY Surveillance Pro. If a returned item is found to be in proper working condition and or parts are missing that will make the item workable or resalable a 20% restocking fee will be charged to the customer. In addition any products that were show to be clearly damaged by any type of neglect or act of god will be refused for return and returned to the customer and shipping charges will be charged to the customer.

 

Return Instructions:

WHEN YOU ARE ISSUED AN RMA NUMBER by DIY Surveillance Pro, YOUR PACKAGE HAS TO BE SENT BACK TO US WITH THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS:
ITEM MUST BE PACKAGED AND BACK IN ORIGINAL OR EQUIVALENT PACKAGING, WRAPPING MATERIALS, ETC. All PARTS/Manuals etc must also be included in order to have a proper return.
A COPY OF THE ORIGINAL INVOICE MUST BE INCLUDED WITH YOUR PACKAGE AND THE RMA NUMBER WRITTEN ON THE ACTUAL INVOICE.

THE RMA number provided by DIY Surveillance Pro must be written clearly IN BIG, BLACK, BOLD LETTERING ON THE OUTSIDE OF THE BOX or  PACKAGES RETURNED. ANY BOX OR PACKAGE SENT WITHOUT AN RMA NUMBER WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.

PLEASE ONLY SEND YOUR RMA RETURNS BY MEANS OF UPS or USPS ONLY.

YOU MUST PROVIDE US WITH A TRACKING NUMBER VIA EMAIL after shipment.
